This interior is done in a light taupe colored leather with an accent fabric and light tan carpeting. This is one of the most popular seat designs, with customers most often choosing two different colored leathers. In this case the customer chose an accent fabric that contains the navy blue of the exterior and the light tan of the carpeting and exterior, tying the exterior and interior together nicely.

Other examples of this seat design with different leather and color choices are the 1979 Mooney 201, and the 1968 Mooney Executive.

You can see this airplane be transformed from what it looked like with its original, worn out interior, through the renewing process to the completed new interior by checking out the description of the process page.

Here is a good view of the front seats showing how the accent was also used on the insets of the side panels. On the far wall is a pocket for checklists with a couple of pencil loops sewn in.

In conjunction with the interior installation, new rear seats were installed in this airplane, in this case, from a 1968 Executive (FAA form 337 required). The original airplane had a rear bench style seat. The new individual rear seats recline to three different positions, fold forward or come completely out in about 30 seconds.

This owner also wanted rear headrests installed to help create a natural barrier between the cabin and the baggage area.

Here one of the rear seats is removed showing the additional space that is available with this optional configuration. There are a couple of different modifications available based on the availability of parts. This owner has only one child so they travel with 3 seats much of the time to give them flexibility in loading.

This shows the rear seat area with both seats removed. This leaves a very large area in which to carry things like camping gear, golf clubs and other bulky items. The seats come completely out of the airplane in about 30 seconds.

Here is the baggage area. Note that Lynn used carpeting on the backs of the rear seats in this application because the seats can fold forward. This gives a more durable surface on which to load things. Also note the matching cargo tie downs. The old ones were black and worn after 22 years.

Some owners have even said that, after Lynn gets done with it, the baggage area looks too nice to cover up with baggage!
